Our Activities
The activities of this organization are focused on the welfare of society and people of backward communities of West Bengal from the beginning of our journey. It is the hard work of our members which has reflected in every aspect of our works.
HIV/AIDS & Consumer Awareness
We arrange health & Consumer camps to provide basic health services and spread awareness about Consumer Rights. A meeting was held in Basudevpur, a little area of South 24 Parganas to inform people about the deadly effects of HIV/AIDS on men and women. We arrange a two-day awareness camp every year. Health Camps are regularly organized with the help of primary health centers. It has been observed that the health camps are very effective and fruitful for the relief of needy patients to some extent of their disease. A two-days program is held every year to tell people about the importance of market Awareness and Product Value Ideas and Consumer Rights Awareness.
Performing Arts & Cultural Progs.
As a Cultural Programs and Performing, we organize different cultural programs with the help of artists. We organize and arrange exhibitions on art and cultural programs all over India and West Bengal where we showcase the paintings of famous painter Jamini Roy. We also attend various cultural programs all over the world where our members take part.
Awareness Camp on Environment
Su-Samannaya organization arranges awareness camps every year about saving the environment and forest through different activities. Environment & Forest has deep impacts on our lives, but due to our negligence, the environment is getting polluted every day. As a social human being, we try to save both the environment & forest by arranging programs like tree plantation, river cleaning, etc. It is a small start from the end of us to make the world a better place to live; we gather local children and youth to work with us. We arrange an Environment awareness camp for 3-days every year in the areas of Laxmikantapur, Dishari, Dhola; choose 10 families to promote environmental and ecology awareness and National Integration irrespective of all castes & creeds.
Training-cum-Production Center
From Su-Samannaya, an NGO in WB, we run Vocational Training for Adolescent Girls, Handicrafts Development Training and Tailoring. To get empowered and settled in life earning is necessary. Our organization provides varied vocational courses and training for adolescents girls throughout the year. We provide training in Tailoring, Vocational Training, Weaving, Handicrafts, Zari with Machine Embroidery to 75 women in the area of Suri I, Suri II, Sainthia, Ramchandrakhali, Khirishkhali, Bangaon, etc.for self-employment and income generation for the beneficiaries.
Social Development Program
Social development programs are arranged by our NGO every year to help the rural people to fight with their problems. People in remote and rural areas of India are suffering from poverty even today. If they want a good lifestyle they need money which is almost impossible to earn in those areas. We run various programs and workshops throughout the year regarding this issue in rural areas like Bankura, Purulia to focus on Improvement of awareness in population balance. As a result of this program, people become aware of the preservation of Health & Hygiene and concept growing on family planning; they take consultation with doctors regarding any issue.
“Beti Bachao – Beti Padhao”
The slogan “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” is a campaign to bring girls back into the educational institution and educate them. “Betis” means girls in English, and the girls of our rural India are still out of reach of education, they don’t have proper ideas about their health and hygiene. They don’t have the right to go to school and get an education which helps the opportunists to trap them easily. We arranged some seminars to spread awareness on the Values of Girl Child in our Society (As promoted by GOI, New Delhi). This program is arranged 5 times during a year in the areas of Khirishkhali, Bhadreshwar, Bangaon, Haridevpur, Fulia, Krishnanagar, Nadia.
“Swachh Bharat Mission”
Su-samannaya arranges Swachh Bharat Mission in 6 different centers two times in a year to promote cleanliness & tidy atmosphere. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is also known as the ” Clean India Mission” or “Clean India Drive” or ” Swachh Bharat Campaign”. This campaign involves the construction of latrines, promotion of sanitation programs in the rural areas to clean streets, roads and changing the infrastructure of the country. The main object of this Mission is to keep our country clean and at the same time, we also teach our residents about the importance of the Cleanliness of Society. We promote the environmental cleanliness in the areas like Ramchandrakhali, Khirishkhali, Bankura, Purulia, & Mallickpur by showing them lots of positive sides of being clean so that they will get interested in the mission.
